We graciously accept donations to support further development of uSeeToo :-)
Simple method: just install uSeeToo+Java (about 22 MB)
(updated January 28th, 2009: We have just posted a new version 0.9 of uSeeToo, the first version bringing significant changes since we first shipped back in 2006. The new version will offer compatibility with upcoming uSeeToo for the Mac and Linux and brings performance improvements. Important! This version is incompatible with previous versions: your friends need to upgrade too or they will not be able to share photos and drawings with you. However, you will very soon be able to uSeeToo with friends using Linux or MAC systems.)
(updated August 17th, 2008 — hopefully imaging works now not only on Vista, but XP and 2000 as well; if not please write to prof.cogito -at- gmail.com).
If image loading fails on whatever Windows version you are using (we have just seen it on Windows 2000) separate installation of Imagemagick libraries seems to cure the problem. Please download from ImageMagick website. You may find the programs useful in their own right.
If you are not yet a Skype user download Skype from http://www.skype.com
When uSeeToo starts for the first time Skype will ask you for permission to connect. This is an important security measure protecting you, Skype, and honest plug-in vendors. We encourage you to not treat the agreement lightly! Skype plug-in interface can be abused; we expect it will be abused sooner or later. For plug-ins that you choose to trust please select the “Always allow…” (the topmost) option.
(NOTE: THE “PUBLISHER” IS SHOWN AS “SUN MICROSYSTEMS, INC.” AS A RESULT OF uSeeToo BEING IMPLEMENTED IN THE JAVA PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND NOT AN INTENTIONAL MISREPRESENTATION.)
(NOTE: SKYPE PLUGINS MAY INTERFERE WITH ONE ANOTHER; a user informed us that installing another plugin caused uSeeToo to stop working; your mileage may vary, please be aware of the issue)
Typically, you will need a friend to similarly install uSeeToo, start it and the two of you will need to connect to share photos, create graphics, play games.
